What Is It?

Community Supported Fisheries (CSF) like our Shrimp Share Program are like Community Supported Agriculture programs that have been around since the 1980s. They promote eating locally grown crops and locally caught seafood. They encourage people in the community to know their farmers and fishermen. A CSF is an agreement between a fisherman and a consumer. It is tailored to the fisherman's season and the consumer's seafood preferences. You, the consumer, support "your" fisherman by ordering and paying ahead for their locally landed, wild caught seafood. The advance orders provide your fisherman a guaranteed market for his product and capital to keep fishing. For you, the price is fair.

How does our Shrimp Share Program work? 

1) You purchase a card for a specific dollar amount; either a $150 share or a $300 share.

2) When you want shrimp, you purchase it here with your card.

3) The program runs year-round, and you can purchase additional shares or top off your card.

Is it Expensive? 

We have special Shrimp Share pricing on each item we sell - roughly 15% off our retail price. So, for example, today I am selling large mix head-off shrimp at $12/lb. The Shrimp Share price would be $10.25/lb. Our medium/large head-on shrimp, which presently retails for $6/lb, would have a Shrimp Share price of $5/lb.
